Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third child of five. Beverly Bushfield, her mother employed as a domestic worker during the time that Thad Harold Harden was in the army. Her first interest in theatre while living alongside her parents in Greece as well as attending shows in Athens. Harden began college in Europe in American colleges and eventually moved to the US in order to finish her studies at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA in theatre at NYU. She had already starred in the film in 1986, The Imagemaker, but her debut role in a major film was Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers' offbeat, clever tribute to gangster films. Harden was recognized for her seductive performance as Verna. Harden was later cast in supporting characters. She played Ava Gardner, a TV biopic on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
